Off Position – Heater Stopped
When the switch is in the Off position, the heating process is completely stopped. The heater does not warm the coolant, and no energy is consumed.
On Position – Automatic Heating Cycle
Switching to On starts the heater, which warms the vehicle’s coolant until it reaches 82°C (179.6°F). Once this temperature is achieved, the heater enters cooling mode, stopping combustion while the pump continues circulating coolant throughout the vehicle cabin heating system.
If the coolant temperature drops below 72°C (161.6°F), the heater automatically restarts the heating cycle to maintain a comfortable cabin temperature.
Circulation Position – Pump Operation Only
In Circulation mode, the water pump circulates liquid coolant without activating the heating process. This function is ideal for bleeding air from the coolant system or ensuring continuous circulation when heating is not required.
